Red Hook Studios made and put out Darkest Dungeon, which takes dungeon crawling to a whole new level. It’s a roguelike, which basically just means that you’ll be going through procedurally-generated levels that are different every time you explore them. And you will explore them a lot, since roguelikes also have permanent death.
People who have never played before will need to be ready for a hard game with a lot of trial and error. The art style is beautiful, and you’ll be in a gothic setting where you’ll also have to deal with psychological stresses. Monsters have taken over an ancestor’s estate, so the story is about finding and training heroes to take it back.
Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling
Bug Fables is a platformer RPG that looks and plays a lot like Paper Mario, so it is often compared to that game. To play, you have to figure out how to use the special skills of three characters while looking at the world of Bugaria from a side-scrolling point of view.
Bug Fables is a great choice for any RPG fan. It was made by Moonsprout Games. It’s about three bug friends. You’ll have to solve puzzles to find your prize, beat your enemies, and not be afraid as you travel.
To The Moon
To the Moon isn’t as well-known as the other games on this list, but it’s just as good as any of them. Everyone loves it because of the story, which is about two doctors, Eva Rosalene and Neil Watts, who have a special job. The story of Stardew Valley is about you, an office worker from the city who has decided to leave and fix up your grandfather’s old farm. The game is as comfortable as games can be. In fact, one of your first tasks is to meet everyone in the town nearby. You take care of animals, grow crops, look into mysteries in the area, and make friends.
Hades
Supergiant Games made Hades, and gamers all over the world can’t get enough of it. The main character of the story, which is based on Greek mythology, is Zagreus, who is the son of Hades and Persephone. Zagreus is trying to get to his mother up above while running away from his father in the Underworld. Zagreus meets up with and gets help from other Greek gods and mythical figures along the way.
Since it’s a roguelike, the game is always new because it’s generated by a set of rules. You have to fight your way through different dungeons and environments using a hack-and-slash and magical combat system.
Disco Elysium
When you wake up in a strange world called Elysium and have no idea who you are or how you got there, Disco Elysium asks you to play the part of a detective. One thing is certain, though: you need to figure out who killed someone.
From the beginning to the end, Slope Game is a one-of-a-kind experience. In it, you can roam around an open world at your own pace. The game is mostly about talking to people, and you have to make a lot of choices as you go. Some of these choices will be bad, but others will be brilliant. You decide if the detective who can’t remember anything is a hero who saves the world or a total disaster.
Disco Elysium was made by the company ZA/UM, but a novelist named Robert Kurvitz came up with most of the ideas for it. Kurvitz and his team spent years making the world of Elysium. Elysium has a history that goes back 6,000 years.
